It's been a long time but there is light at the end of the tunnel: after being down here in Georgia for the past two months ComiXpress is almost ready to start churning out the first issue of Wise Intelligence. It's been a big uphill battle as they've had the files for that long and have finally churned out an end product. The end product looks 'pretty good', some things I would have liked to change that I just can't do while I'm down here in Georgia...but I guess we'll see.
So as the comic is ready for launch I figured I'd start posting on the comic blog more often. What else is new other then the release of WI#1?
My first of two issues of Uptown Girl is released this week, which I believe is issue #27. You can check it out over at: http://www.uptowngirlcomic.com . My 'Philly' pitch was just sent out this week to Image Comics....the comic looks beautiful, well, the 5 page pitch looks beautiful, and I guess we'll see in a few short weeks if it is up Image's alley or if we pitch elsewhere.
My writing has been nil down here in Georgia since the Army takes up ALOT of my time...ALOT, but I just sat down and started work on Philly #3 and another Uptown Girl guest issue. I'll also be (hopefully) starting the second issue of The Salesman, the comic I'm doing with HC Noel.
Ragtag #3 is out I believe and that comic features a Wise Intelligence story. Howie and I also did a short 4 page WI story for the SPX Anthology, but I guess we won't know if it made it in or not for a few more weeks. We'll see I guess.
Newsarama did a story on Uptown Girl so I'll post that here when it comes up. I'll also point a link to where you can buy my Uptown Girl comics (or any and all of them for that matter) in the next couple days.
Once ComiXpress starts selling WI#1, I'll post that link up too....though I'm sure most people will be coming here because of the comic and not vice-versa.
I'm off for Army training. Lots more to come...at least I hope.
