Wise Intelligence - The Grassroots Campaign

Being down in Georgia for the moment its hard for me to get out and push the first issue of Wise Intelligence. Blah. With no issue two in sight, I'm going to have to deal with finding an artist for the next three issues but again...that will have to come later.

So not being able to do conventions I've been hitting the comic book boards all over trying to let peoples know that (a) the book is out there now and/or (b) the book exists. I find it exciting just because Captain Jack is in the comic. Shrug. I LOVED Captain Jack so I was glad to use the character. And hey, it was great to use Dave Sim's Cerebus too.

My latest Uptown Girl issue should be available this week so when it pops up I'll post links for anyone who might want to buy. Additionally I'm going to ask Howie if I can post like ANY of his Salesman art...even posting a frame will get some people psyched at how his art is coming along for our new book. I'll do some prodding and see what I can do. :)

I now have a page on my studio's website!!!! There is much about me over at the Evolution Studios' site but you can actually read the 5-page normal JOE script that is currently being drawn by fellow Evolution compadre Bill Mitchell.

I just wanted to show off my lil logo. It looks kewwwwwwwwwwwl.

Philly: First Look

Over the past couple months I've been talking about the 'Philly' project I've been working on with Jim Hanna. Jim continues to do wonderful things with the comic and I've just started sending out multiple proposals to see if anyone wants to pick up this wonderful looking book.
So I figured I would, for the first time, show you all what the hubbub is all about by giving you a sneak peek at the superhero comic!

WISE INTELLIGENCE #1 FOR SALE!

OH YES...IT'S FINALLY HERE!!!

YOU CAN CLICK RIGHT HERE TO GO TO COMIXPRESS AND BUY THE FIRST ISSUE OF WISE INTELLIGENCE!

Here's the description of the comic via their page:
Wise Intelligence #1
On the campus of New Jersey State University, the fraternity brothers of Delta Rho Gamma try to figure out a way to fit their classes into a busy schedule of mid-afternoon drinking, fraternity parties, and hooking up with every girl they can get their hands on.

As the first issue kicks off the adventures of Whorfin, JK, Dean, and Servo we follow eleven different stories jam-packed into one huge issue! There are beers, hot girls, fraternity parties, and even a guest appearance by Cerebus and Fantagraphics' Captain Jack! With amazing art by such artists as Reilly Brown (Digital Webbing Presents), Howie Noeldechen (Mr. Scootles), Phil Juliano (Retribution and the Wise Intelligence artist), Bob Lipski (Uptown Girl), and many more there is enough excitement in this comic for ten lifetimes!

WI#1 Has Arrived!

While it hasn't gone up for sale on the ComiXpress website...I've received the very first copies of Wise Intelligence #1 and it looks great! Quite proud of the final results and glad to finally see the comic in print. I'll be selling these off via snail mail (probably moreso when I return back to New Jersey) and also via ComiXpress. More later on how to get your hands on a copy!

WI #1 - Annnnnnnnnny day now.

ComiXpress has been lagging on my comic but hopefully I'll have the first few copies in my hand any day now and have the comic available on ComiXpress's website for sale. I'll be selling them also but only once I get back from Georgia.

Got my Uptown Girl comics in the mail (thanks Bob!) and I think it reads wonderfully...good to see that my writing meshed well with the Uptown Girl characters. If you are interested in the comic, you can get the link from one of the posts below.

Jim continues to crank out 'Philly' pages and he is heading off to San Diego this week...hopefully to pimp his and our works. Guess we'll see. Prelim stuff continues on the 'normal JOE' short story...hopefully that'll be done soon.

Ragtag #3 is out and I have yet to even see a copy of it but the story Dave Lafuente and I did is in there. I should be getting a copy any day now...hopefully. You SHOULD be able to buy the comic right here though I don't see it available for sale with the other comics. Shrug. Who knows. The story in there is mad funny though.

Back in a couple days...hopefully with a link to where you can buy WI#1.

'Checking In On The Uptown Girl'

So here is the Newsarama article on Uptown Girl.

Article is mostly about the upcoming short movie but talks a bit to Bob about the comic and interviews me briefly at the tail end.

Go check it out!
